Trump Administration Makes Sweeping Regulatory Changes to Help U.S. Healthcare System Address COVID-19 Patient Surge (Source: CMS)

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announces major, temporary changes to regulation in response to coronavirus and coverage for Medicare and Medicaid, including a push for telehealth. Physicians previously approved to perform telehealth can now use the technology for patients in “inpatient rehabilitation facilities, hospice and home health” situations.
