Steve Dawson / Chief Executive Officer and President

Steve comes to Harmar with extensive leadership experience in helping grow and transform companies.  Steve is a CPA and has held executive positions in finance, sales and marketing.  Most recently, Steve was VP/General Manager and headed the CGI division of PGT Industries, a custom window and door manufacturer supplying custom products through a dealer network.  Steve graduated from Wagner College with a degree in Accounting.  Steve will lead Harmar’s senior management team and drive Harmar to continually improve and expand it products and services and guide its growth in the Mobility and Accessibility space.


Joe Ayette / Vice President, Operations

Joe champions Harmar's Operations inclusive of R&D, production, supply chain, product quality field support, and key cross-functional processes. He brings 20 years of experience in global manufacturing from the vehicle service industry (Fortune 500 Company), and medical technologies for healthcare industry. Joe's background is in Electrical Engineering and has led Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams. He is Six Sigma certified, and possesses a B.S. degree from Youngstown State University and an MBA from Miami University-Oxford, OH.

David Baxter / Vice President, Marketing

David joined Harmar in 2014 and leads the company’s strategic planning, product management, market research, and marketing communications functions. He joined Harmar with 20+ years leadership experience in strategic and tactical marketing in the industrial sectors. His marketing roles included UpRight, Inc., a small, fast growth company; and larger growth companies including Harsco Rail and JLG Industries. David received a B.S. in Business Administration - Marketing from California State University, Fresno and a M.B.A. from University of Georgia.

 Bill Read / Chief Financial Officer

Bill joined Harmar in 2017 as the Chief Finance Officer. Bill is a proactive senior executive with 25+ years of leadership experience in finance and operations management, leading turnarounds, and positioning companies for growth. He has a broad base of manufacturing experience with companies in various industries such as automotive, aerospace and defense, pulp and paper, electronics and durable medical equipment.  Bill received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from The University of Tennessee at Martin and his MBA from the Massey Graduate School of Management at Belmont University.  He is a CPA, CMA, and CGMA.
