We Are Inspired by a Driving Purpose

Harmar is more than a leading manufacturer of wheelchair lifts for automobiles, stair lifts for the home, and residential and commercial vertical platform lifts. We are an organization that is inspired by those who are mobility challenged and is driven to create mobility and accessibility products that allow people to go where they want, when they want, how they want.

Founded in 1998, Harmar has a 17 year history of growth by evolving our product lines to enrich the lives of our customers. Harmar has grown to accommodate our consumer’s ever growing need for a quality of life with meaningful innovation and a commitment to our vision of helping people of all ages overcome their limited physical mobility.

We Give People the Power of Independence

We are in the business of making lives easier at home and away for our elderly, veteran and injured/disabled customers. We are inspired by this driving purpose.

Today, more than 36.8 million people are age 65+ in the U.S. representing nearly 13% of our population, in some regions it is even higher. Between 2010 and 2030, “Baby Boomers” will enter the over 65+ age, resulting in nearly 20% of Americans being over age 65. Ninety percent of people over age 65 want to stay in their home for as long as possible. In addition, there are over 19 million people with disabilities in the U.S. alone that have problems walking or climbing stairs, and the number of veterans with a service-connected disability has been on the rise. Harmar has been saluting our veterans with support for nearly 10 years. Our mobility and accessibility products give all these groups the power of independence to remain in their homes and engaged in their communities. Whatever the age, whatever the circumstance, it’s about improving the quality of life.

We Are Harmar

Our team is a family of diverse professionals who want to make a difference. We all have loved ones that we want to see enjoy life and live it to its fullest. This is what drives us.
